Psalm 41:12 — “You uphold me because of my integrity; you set me in Your presence forever.”
There’s a different kind of glow on those who live in the presence of God.
Not from platform.
Not from performance.
But from presence.
I almost forgot that today. After recording my weekly Porch Pour on YouTube and prepping videos for the site, I felt that familiar tug —
“Was that enough?”
Even after a sweet message from a young woman I mentored, it still didn’t quite quiet the ache in my heart.
But then this Scripture found me again:
“You uphold me because of my integrity…”
Not because of the numbers. Not because of the feedback. But because of the hidden yes.
That word integrity wrapped around my heart like a warm shawl.
God sees what nobody else does.
He sees the tears you cry when the camera turns off.
He hears the whisper-prayers you pray before you press publish.
He counts every obedient step — even the shaky ones.
I don’t glow because I crushed the video.
I don’t glow because I had the perfect words.
I glow because my Father smiled.
There was a time when I needed human affirmation to feel worthy. A compliment could lift me from a pit.
But now? I crave something deeper. I need His pleasure.
I need to know that He was near. That I hosted Him well. That I honored Him.
Friend, maybe that’s where you are too.
Maybe you're wondering if your “pour” even mattered.
Maybe you're watching for fruit and missing the fragrance.
But here’s the truth:
You glow because you live in His smile.
Not striving.
Not hustling.
Not performing.
Just dwelling in the place where His presence rests.
Just standing in the glow of glory.
He’s not watching your metrics — He’s watching your heart.
He’s not grading your outcomes — He’s upholding your integrity.
So take a breath.
Let go of the pressure.
And return to the Presence that makes your face shine like Moses.
You were never meant to strive for light.
You were meant to carry it.
